Hair Hardware Style & Use...
Snap Clips are ideal for little princesses with thin hair. Snap clips are best used on to keep hair out of the eyes or to secure hairstyles. They are made of metal and meet CPSIA requirements. The typical snap clip used at Prissy Princess is 1.25” (30 mm) unless other size is requested. There are a limited amount of bow styles that can be made from Snap Clips, therefore always check the style options under the hardware section to see if they are available in the style and size you want.

Single Prong Alligator Clips are another style that compliments thin, silky haired princesses. Single prong alligator clips are only available with clip and bow styles. They are best used on to keep hair out of the eyes or simply to secure hairstyles. They are made with two metal prongs that meet at the tip to make a blunted tip, 1.75” (45 mm) in length and meet CPSIA requirements.
Double Prong Alligator Clips are the most commonly use hardware at Prissy Princess. They are made with two metal prongs in a rectangular shape, 1.75” (45 mm) in length and meet CPSIA requirements. Like single prong Alligator clips, they are only available with clip and bow styles. They compliment thin silky haired princesses, and are great for keeping silky hair pulled back and out of the eyes. This design also stays in well when used in a purely ornamental hairstyle rather than for functionality.
French Barrettes are larger barrettes. They are designed to pull back longer pieces of hair or larger amounts of hair and are usually worn at the back of the head. If your intent is to pull back hair, length of the barrette is not the only consideration. You should also look at the width of the barrette since it will give you an approximation of how much hair can be secured by it. French Barrettes are available in multiple sizes. However, they are only able to be used with bow styles when option is made available under hardware selection. They are made of metal and meet CPSIA requirements. The typical French barrette used at Prissy Princess is 2.25” (60 mm) unless other style is requested.

Pony Barrettes are intended for use when wearing a ponytail. The circular shape enables the barrette to grip around the ponytail for long term wear without causing hair breakage or uneven pressure on the scalp. They are made of metal, shaped like a half sphere and meet CPSIA requirements. The typical snap clip used at Prissy Princess is 1.5” (40 mm) unless other size is requested. However, they are only able to be used with bow styles when option is made available under hardware selection.
